2004 First Annual Cherry Festival
Car and Truck Show
July 3, 2004

The First Annual Cherry Festival Car and Truck Show was held on July 3, 2004 in downtown Eau Claire.  The weather forecasters predicted thunderstorms, but we were fortunate to have great weather the entire day!  There were 86 cars in attendance for the show, which was double the turnout that they were expecting.  Things seemed to go along smoothly and the awards were given around 4:00 p.m., which gave us just enough time to drive home before the rains hit.  This show had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes and dash plaques & grab bags for the first 50 entrants.   They gave out a ton of door prizes throughout the day too!  As with most car shows, things will get better as they are learned through experience over the years, but it was a good start to a car show that I think will grow in popularity through the years.
