2004
Apple Festival Custom Car and Truck Show
There was a little chill in the
air, but it was a beautiful sunny day at the 2004 Apple Festival Car
Show this year. The Michiana Cruisers had a huge turnout with
at least 22 member vehicles, many of which won awards. We
arrived around 8:20 a.m. and there was already a huge line formed
for parking. There was a definite parking hang-up due to the
processing system, but eventually all of the cars were parked and
the rest of the show was great.
There are many things that make this a great show to attend from
year to year. The quality and amount of the door prizes
and raffles is awesome. There are an extraordinary amount of
vehicle categories...this makes it very fair because similar
vehicles are always compared against each other.
Also, many people get to receive an award that may not normally be
eligible for awards in other shows. This makes it much more
rewarding and enjoyable for most people. If you get bored at
the show you can walk across the street to the Apple Festival
grounds and enjoy the carnival rides, food, and arts and crafts.
If you have a chance to attend next year, it is highly recommended. |
