The
Michiana Cruisers had a great time at this show this year.
Several members received awards and door prizes throughout the day,
but most importantly the Michiana Cruisers finally won a club
participation award again! This is an extremely well organized
show and they really had all of the bases covered. We arrived
at 7:00 a.m. and the main street was already half-full!
Throughout the day more and more vehicles arrived and the total was
over 410 by the end of the day. There were many craft and food
vendors and almost all of the businesses in town had a 'sidewalk
sale'. One thing that this show had that other car shows
(South Haven) need to take notice of was PLENTY of portable
facilities :) There are only two things that the organizers
should consider changing for next years show. 1). The
Dash Plaque - The dash plaque this year was rather sad, it mostly
looks like a big business card for Re-Max. I heard quite a few
people mention it. 2). A couple classes need to be added
to cover vehicles that are newer than 1977. There were SO many
cars forced to enter into the "FF - Open" class because they were
newer than 1977 and this creates a situation where apples are being
compared to oranges. Other than that, everything seems to be
very well done and it's a great show to plan on going to again next
year.
All
of the voting and judging scores were tallied by 3:00 and the
trophies were given out right on time...which makes everyone happy.
Check out some of the pictures I took during the day!
